With Our Eyes Wide Open
A downloadable game
The techno-optimist promises of a human utopia have been fulfilled in the future, but some still struggle to adapt, especially those born in the late 1900s. Cobol, a millennial senior still working as a sysadmin for legacy systems, meets a new friend online.
This game was created by edmundito, Grahf, and Ben 304 for the $108 Adventure Game Challenge using Godot and the Popochiu adventure game plugin by carenalga.
Update: The game downloads have been taken offline until we have time to fix a few bugs. Follow edmundito or Grahf to get a notification when a new version is out!

Played it. Very nice. The graphics are pretty outstanding for a jam game. Didn't find any bugs although I felt it could go without an extra room (too much walking) but it was fun. The story really captured the imagination. Bravo. You will do great on the Jam! Looking forward to your next game!
Very nice game that delivers exactly what the theme for the jam asks for.
Very nice atmosphere and artwork. I think I hit a bug where I found a second floppy then went through the ‘contact’ sequence again. My only other complaint is the 12 seconds or so it takes to walk back and forth between the two main rooms. Really cool vibe though!
Great game! I had a blast with all the vintage computer vibes, even though it's set in the future! Well done!
Great visuals! I encountered a few bugs, but nothing that required a restart. I was able to complete the game and loved the futuristic theme blended with the tech from my childhood.
Thanks for playing! Sorry about the bugs; I wish I had more time to address a few details, and I am hoping to have an improved version post-jam.
Nice one!
